Orpheus C. C. Cottage closed to all members and visitors
On Monday 16th March, the UK Government released updated advice regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) virus. The BCA and ESF have also shared some guidance specific to caving and similar activities.

BMC has also issued guidance about activities, including the use of club huts.
Following the issue of this advice and after discussion, OCC Committee have taken the decision to close the Cottage to all members, guests and visiting groups with effect from today for the foreseeable future. Please do NOT attend the club.
We are in the process of taking steps to mothball, and safeguard, the Cottage and it will be regularly checked. All visiting groups that were booked in have already been contacted to advise them that the Cottage is closed.
During this time, we would also encourage members not to put themselves, and potentially others such as the cave rescue teams and emergency services, at unnecessary risk.
