the world?s closest known match to the Covid-19 virus was found seven years ago by Wuhan scientists in an abandoned copper mine in Yunnan where it was linked to deaths to miners clearing bat faeces which was caused by a coronavirus-type respiratory illness - an Insight investigation in today's Sunday Times reports. As I mentions earlier.  Do not eat bats.  According to Ozzy Osborne "They taste awful".

They were serving bat curry at the Anse Soleil Restaurant in Mahe in the Seychelles in 2012 according to Tripadvisor:

I had curried bat from a market in Sulawesi in Indonesia about 16yrs ago. It tasted vaguely like a beef curry and was surprisingly nice. It was not the strangest thing I ate on that trip either.
