Scraithole Mine, West Allendale
The Coal Authority have commissioned ground investigation works at Scraithole Low Level. These works will mean that it will be dangerous to access the mine whilst the works are in progress. Warning signs and safety fences will be installed. The works will start on 8th March 2021 and will run to 31st March 2021.
I would not expect anyone to be visiting the mine during the Covid Lockdown period but please do not enter the mine during this period. If you need more information, contact Peter Jackson 01388 527532.
