I'm thinking of trying to get into the Syphon Series in Dan-yr-Ogof in a couple of Weeks

I was wondering is it as simple as - start the Syphon running, go & do a round trip & come back to a  drained Sump ? 

Anyone got any advise ?

Doe's it only work in Extremely dry Weather ?  :-\

I went in there a number of years ago and that's precisely how we did it. There were a few hoses there so we set 2 or 3 syphons going to drain it. I don't think the weather needs to be particularly dry for it to work.

It's a fun bit of cave, lots of mud, worms and lakes to swim around in - I'd say it was probably worth wearing a wetsuit.
