My first trip down James Hall Over Engine Mine last night - there was me saying weekday trips were going to get easier. Good fun, but next time I shouldn't drop into something so deep when already so knackered - I was half dead by the time I got out (thanks for the haul Underground   :)  ).

Some of the stacked deads in the Cartgate level are kinda worrying, the Bitch Pitch is fine, and Leviathan is impressive, as are Dave Nixon's plumbing works down the lower half of the pitch. Puts our Bagshawe dig into perspective!

Still a bit of loose rock around so be careful in there.....and don't bang your head in the Cartgate level.

Forgot to mention, many interesting mining relics around the workshop area.

Great trip.

No sweat B. Hauling you was like doing the trip over again! :P

Absolute classic trip- the drop into Leviathan is outrageous, and the prusik back up freehenging in the waterfall is classic.

But the cartgate is a bit dodgy- I had a slightly fluttery moment traversing one of the flooded pools, thinking I was going for a swim...

Sounds like you had a good (if knackering) trip !

It's getting all the rope bags out that finishes you off...

Just hope you haven't left JT's harness down there  :P
