Digital membership forms

Do any caving clubs offer the ability to fill in membership forms online? Rather than printing off paper copies and filling them in? If so, is the system easy to manage? Do you bother to transfer the information on the form to a database?

Dudley Caving Club uses memberMOJO. At https://membermojo.co.uk you can set up a 60-day free trial. We use the same system for managing membership and committee email lists.

I've not used it for 7 years, but prior to then, Groupspaces was quite a good online tool. Not sure how it dealt with 'new' members, but still seemed to be useful. Great for emailing with hyperlinked emails, making it quite easy to navigate emails if  your name isn't Wookey....

The NPC do now. Yes, the info is transferred to a database if the application is approved. Is it easy to manage - I didn't build the system nor do I know anything about that sort of thing, so can't answer you from a techie perspective, but as a user who recently gained admin access, it's been easy thus far.

CATMHS use Wordpress and a few plugins. The system generates e-mails which are not put into a database automatically.

Chris.
