Desperate for Outdoor 1st Aid renewal - anywhere!

I have inadvertently forgotten (just too damned busy) that my 1st aid certs are due to expire in 2 days.  That wouldn't be a problem if my IRATA ticket didn't depend on them, and I wasn't using said ticket in the next week abroad for a very H&S conscious client....Sigh.  Anyone know of anywhere...

Hydro SIG? Let's talk about it!

Hello all, following publication of his interesting article on why there is not currently a SIG focusing on hydrology within BCRA, I've been asked to arrange a session to discuss the potential and hopefully recruit enthusiastic individuals who may want to take this very important idea forward. ...

    Super fatty oversuit

Anyone getting rid of a super fatty oversuit in any (reasonable) condition?  I'm wearing a warmbac XL that is too tight around my very low centre of gravity (ahem) and I can't move my chubby eastern European legs as effectively as I would like.  I figure the only way to get better and stronger...

    Controversy?

Since I haven't done anything karsty and scientific like this year to warrant a lecture at Hidden Earth (wherever it may end up being), but I AM attending and am preparing my first art submission at present (ooooo!) I was thinking that the two moderated discussions I've organised in the past...

Runoff water disposal into caves - guidance and legislation?

I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of any guidance or legislation on the disposal of runoff water into caves as an engineering design?  I can't find anything besides ecological guidance and I'm sure there must be something regarding the geotechnical or broader environmental...

Cave in Brixham - Behind Dolphin Court Apartments on Overgang?

Hello fellow oooo-arrrr'ers.....I've been told by a client (in my officially type role as a geologist person) that there was a cave entrance in an old quarry face in Brixham off Overgang, immediately opposite the Yacht Club.  It was situated in the rock face behind Dolphin Court Apartments...

    Pridhamsleigh Cavern Crack update

Just to update on this, I did install monitoring pins, and have been checking them regularly.  Please don't spend a lot of time standing under this feature in Bishop's Chamber - the monitoring pins are obvious, and shouldn't be touched.  After a 4 month period of monthly monitoring visits with...

    List of contacts for clubs?

I was wondering if there was any comprehensive, computer friendly, spreadsheet or list for email/other electronic contacts for uni and non-uni clubs?  How does BCA keep this data for collation/distribution/sorting, etc.?  Just thinking for next year's Hidden Earth there MUST be an easier way to...
