Hi guys,
Can people suggest examples of situations where a flooding cave has a significant impact on its surroundings, i.e. public safety, local river levels, local infrastructure or local business/economy?
Currently collating examples.
Cheers,
Josh

Hi all,
I lost my right foot new-style Pantin during a through trip from Rowten to Simpsons on the first Sunday of Eurospeleo. It's likely to be at the bottom of the main pitch or in/near the sumps through to Valley entrance.
I'm a fan of the right-footer and if anyone finds it I'd be grateful...
So there's loads of it. There's only a few caves.
The Menai straight limestone has zero cave. Anyone know why? Is the limestone not the correct type? Or have entrances simply not been located?
Cheers,
Josh
More of a dive/cave diving trip report and so it's written in that fashion (3rd person):
14th November 2015
Site: "The Sump" (Rising Sump), OFD 1
Diver: myself
So I'd done multiple recce dives to this area as it was hoped that the sump might lead to dry passage in blank space on the southern...

Hi all,
So we're leaving for Romania today staying in Baile Herculane and have been trying to contact some Romanian cavers for info/tips on the local caves and anything else to do nearby but havent had any luck whatsoever yet. We will be restricted to the Baile Herculane area as we won't be...
So something I've been thinking about today on and off and am interested to compare. I know this has been the subject of topics on UK Caving before but the last one I could find was at least a couple years old.
What does your club charge for membership? What kind of membership does the club...
Hey guys,
I'm fundraising for Link Community Development, an organisation that helps to develop underprivileged communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
The activity to be sponsored in question is a 1000 mile hitch-hike from my location in Plymouth to the Croatian border. All money sponsored goes to...
Is this cave still being actively dug at Curious Love?
Also, has anyone been down there in recent weeks given the weather, as last I heard a squeeze near the entrance had blocked itself up?
Just a question out of interest as I can't find anything on it elsewhere.
Petzl Superavanti and Fractio harnesses, are they still sold in purple or did that stop a while ago?
The reason I ask is that I own three purple Superavanti's, one "New" i.e. never used and the two others I've used...
Hey guys,
I'm very keen on getting involved in some abroad caving in summer 2013 as part of an expedition e.g. Northern Spain, the Berger, Austria etc. I spent some of my last summer caving in the U.S. in TAG and some alpine caving in Utah, majority of it all SRT (straight drop TAG style & a...
Hello! :bounce:
My club took a pop into Mendip this weekend just gone and tested out some new hardware (GoPro), we we were wondering if these "super" "do it all" cameras could handle some underground bangs and scrapes. See for yourself, the video includes (in order) Upper Flood, Swildon's and...
