I spent a small amout of time working with the Canadian Department of National Defence which had twice as many acronyms and abbreviations as other Forces because we have two official languages here.  In fact there were so many, they had to produce a manual of them - which had an abbreviated title - the CF ABVN MAN.

Right. Here goes:

Like I don't see apricots
creating an enviromental super disaster. This is usually left empty during most afternoons unless Elaine Anne makes very quick newts eat umbrellas. Like no universal act ever, elephants can cycle. Despite any information down in the river, I virtually visit every cat down Enfield Farm nearly permenantly. Even so, one never passes six idiots quietly. On different mornings and in evenings zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Now tell me I am wrong!

TLA anyone? (Without searching the web)

A clue:
It's kind of neat because it is self-referential. It is an example of what it says.
A bit like abbrev. is an example of an abbreviation.

SoundLess Breaker of course!
My favorite was SBD - Silent But Deadly, made in the silent explosives factory featured in the 70's? series Brass.
The employees wives demanded that a flag should be raised at the factory so they would know when there'd been an explosion.
Otherwise how would they know when to gather at the factory gates to weep/worry etc.
(Tacking gently off topic again)

Three letter accronym

Well done.

Hacker Paul Boutin was asked "What do you think will be the biggest problem in computing?"

Paul's straight-faced response was "There are only 17,000 three-letter acronyms."

You're wrong, Shotlighter.  SLB stands for "silly little bangers".  A man with your online name should know that!

OK then, let's see if anyone gets "INCISMA".  (Clue: think Peak District.)

Well done Andy!  Only trouble is I seem to lapse and do another trip in Stoney Middleton about once every 10 years.  Some of us never learn . . . .  ;-)
