as somebody who needs lots of fuel I'm with sewer rat on this one I'll continue to carry food and water with me.

Thats not good news.

IMHO dragon made the only tackle sacks worth buying. Is nobody going to step up and take on their business. Mr warmbac prehaps.

For the time when you need to keep things dry i always use a bernies 100m tackle sack (3 drain holes) with a dry sack inside never had any probs so far its bliss when your cold to get a dry hat/ jumper out, cigs + take food if nothing else it can pass time at the bottom of a big pitch

Tried an ammo box a few times and gave up on the idea rather quickly, converted to using a daren drum, which is far better.. I use it to holdcamera and flashes and occasionally peoples keys..

Having read this thread and the conservation threads have come to the conclusion that the ammo box will not be going U/G

Anyway - Please dont use Ammo boxes. They really should be consigned to the realms of the "This is what cavers used to use"

Sam you have a good point there plus the thing is a REAL pain to carry, a DD will be orded in due course, along with something to carry it in
