Andy Sewell has been a long standing member of the WSG, and was the President of the Club. He passed away at10.30 on Friday 15th March at St. Thomas' Hospital. Andy organised many of the club's expeditions including the first trip to Cuba by a BCA club. This lead to a series of expedition in the 1980s and the late 1990s. As well being an active caver in the UK and completing many of the classics such as the Berger he also caved in Romania, Georgia, Turkey, Lebanon, Iran and his last expedition was in 2013 to Armenia. A well travelled gent who introduced many new WSG Members to caving.
