I didn't realise we were putting the answers in the thread.

3. Could be part of Long churn, as that pops out on the surface and goes back underground again?

15. Is that Welsh cave (who's name escapes me), but I can describe it's along the old railway to the right of the caving hut up there. It's gated, has loads of bats  and the main trips consists of things such as the long round trip and a coal shoot. It also has that very fancy formation and that mile long (feels like it anyway) stooping passage, I think it begins with a C or something.

That's the only ones that jumps out at me.

10. is a Brahmin

Duh 15. is Mossdale I think, can't believe I did not recognise that one and thought it was somewhere in Wales!

I would be surprised if there are many who have not been down 14 clutching a copy of the survey at some point. If only to marvel at the eclectic nature of the construction.

I feel I should know what 6 is, but don?t.

Looks like Roger W has worked out one of my sneaky hard ones in there!

Most guessed so far are correct.  Still some fairly obvious one's in there though.

If you look very carefully you might be able to see the organist in the "horse's ear."

Well I think I'll post some (initially not very helpful) clues for some of the outstanding ones...

1. - Rather surprised this hasn't been guessed by those familiar with the southern half of the UK.

4. - Don't know much about this cave myself as it's up North, certainly not been there.  I believe it's reasonably well known but little visited.

5. - This is an old survey but represents the route most would take (and was the route I took).  I think a few minor side passages are omitted.

6. - Perhaps a little obscure, not one of the 4 major caving areas in the UK.

9. - Definitely obscure, but well worth a visit if you're in the area.

13. - Down South.  Again a little surprise this hasn't been guessed.

18. -  Popular easy cave

Better clues tomorrow night if still not guessed.

Number 4 has the appearance of a maze cave, like Devis for example, but I can't place it.
