Antre des Damnes

Me again......

Just wondering if anyone has done the Antre des Damnes in the Vercors? Found an ICCC report from 89/90 but thats about it.

I believe that the CSCA did a trip there in the late nineties so worth getting in touch with them.

I did this in the late 90's and have a survey somewhere (PM and I'll find/scan a copy). Very enjoyable trip - the pitches take you rapidly to -500 but then stop and there are only short drops (for which we did take rope) on the route to the bottom.

I didn't do much of the rigging but remember that although the big pitch is 200m it is not a single drop - the longest section was about 60m.

There is also a brief "description" in Des Marshall's Vercors Caves book which I think is based on a translation from one of the Edisud guides.
