Awesome Wells Pot, North Yorkshire

I was watching a tape of a TV programme from 1993 on Channel 4 about the development of climbing and caving equipment. In the bit about caving there is footage of 'Awesome Wells Pot, North Yorkshire'.

Does anybody know where this is? I've never seen mention of it anywhere else and it does look pretty deep and impressive  and well worth ticking sometime. :)

Perhaps it's just a new SRT route down something well known....??

The programme was called "Fear of Falling" and the section you mention features a caving photo shoot being undertaken by Mr. Dave Elliot. Not being local to Yorkshire I don't know where it was filmed. If you have a contact for Mr. Elliot he'll surely let you know where it was.

I remember that - still got it on vid - it was an equinox. (infact - I think I was in the foundary the day they filmed there for it).

It was nigel atkinsons bit about the srt rig that I used as the basis for mine. (IIRC he uses static for his jammer leash).

Anyhow - bonus points for anyone who can tell me which roadside location the P bolt that they showed being placed is????
answers on a postcard please.
