For a club to get insurance, they have to belong to the B.C.A.

:ras:

This is not true. To get the insurance that has been negotiated for on behalf of clubs and cavers you have to be a member, but if you are so dissatisfied why don't you try negotiating your own insurance.

Let us know how you get on.

I suppose, if somebody really wanted to know what happened at the AGM, and didn't want to wait for the minutes, they could speak to somebody who was there, or (radical idea!) actually go along and listen?

Today's Tuesday, the meeting was Saturday. When do you think they should be published?

Last Friday, then I could have read them instead of going.  8)

Three cheers for the B.C.A. !!!
The A.G.M. minutes are on their way!
One day you should be able to read them on line,
But only because someone had a long whine.

Ok, I'll go back to bed now. :-[

Having read them I must admit to being concerned but I'm sure that if I just ignore things everything will be fine on the basis that as long as no-one else reads them and thinks "Crikey, mate!" all is otherwise hunky-dory.

yesterday i was pleased to see that The B.C.A. finally posted some minutes.
The one I was really interested was quoted as June 2006, P bolt stuff.
When I clicked on it, it came up as June 2005, now it has gone?

I posted the June 2005 labled 2006 by mistake  :-[ sorry.

The June 2006 minutes will be posted as soon as they have been approved at the next council meeting, which is 7th October.

Sorry to have got you all excited.  ;)

Approved by whom? I thought pretty nearly everyone has stood down from BCA and that the June general meeting wasn't even quorate (judging from my poor memory of the brief glimpse we did get of the minutes when they were online for a nanosecond). Please don't think I'm "having a go"; these are only concerned observations from someone who feels that they're looking into a goldfish bowl which contains no fish... or any water.

I'm not excited, Les  ;)

... but you can't post to it. All I want to do is update the Thrupe Bolting thread under CSCC but as it won't respond I am unable to do so. Hence this forum is up to date with the most recent Mendippy news whereas other forum(s) aren't.
