Ho Hum

From the top of the page where that file is to be found:

In the first instance, we are making available ?Survex? 3D files of certain caving areas. "Survex" is probably the most commonly used cave survey software in the UK and its viewer is one of the most flexible and easy to use. You can download Survex for free.

Did the Rods/Bath connection yesterday. Great fun and huge credit to the diggers.
I've only done this trip once before, and distinctly remember coming out of Bath's through a fairly large (walking) size passage. However yesterday I came out through a climbing boulder ruckle. Next to that entrance was another which had been blocked by washed in debris. Am I going nuts or is the blocked entrance the one I remember?

Sorry, Burt, but I reckon you are going nuts.

Confusing it with Read's Cavern, perchance?

Not a chance, Chris. Stand looking at Bath Swallet entrance, then about 6m to the right there is a really obvious other entrance, part filled with spongy debris. Could this be the one?

That depression has been dug in at least three places. Though only the current route has broken into cave, water has gone down in several places in the depression. However, there has never been a walking size entrance here.

I think The Rod's / Bath through trip is excellant
a super addition to Mendip, almost certainly the most fun trip under Burrington.
;)

Just wait till we have the Bath Swallet to Drunkards Hole through trip!  (actually you might have to wait a while - but there's a good chance it will happen, eventually)

Visited the dig during this trip, and it looks like a very unpleasant place to be - mud, mud, mud! - and the very sticky type. yuk!

If you were in Bath Swallet and visited a dig it wont be Andy's as he is digging from Drunkards, the dig in Bath is Aubrey's and is not heading towards Drunkards.

May we enquire has the "P" bolting on Purple Pot now been completed?

Yes, and yes.
On the CSCC website it claims there are two "P" bolts @ Purple Pot and they will next be checked in January 2009.
How many "P" bolts are now @ Purple Pot?

Well, both caves were first dug in the 1940's, so about sixty years, on and off.
