Just a cheeky bump on this to get higher visibility for this.

As a bit of background - I was approached by Linda W on behalf of CSCC during the last council meeting to see if something like this was possible, and with a bit of teamwork between the two of us, Howard (Treasurer) and some really valuable input from CHECC, we've come up with the above.

Please do share this around.

PS massive thanks to Ari for smartening up my initial post (that I admit was a bit rushed as I'd sat on this for far too long!).

What does ICS mean and what qualifies as young?

Answer my own questions showing how I need only dig a little deeper to start with!

ICS means 2022 International Congress of Speleology which is July 24th-31st in France near Mont Blanc.

BCA Member groups can apply for a grant of ?500 towards a group (numbering at least 3 attendees) of which 2 should be under 24 or full time students.  Other applicants can apply too.

The ICS website listing the trips that are I think, pre-rigged?  They look superb, with survey link too.

Big thumbs up to the BCA for supporting attendance,  (y)

Haha thanks Ian, it doesn't show you need to dig a little deeper, shows I need to be a bit more thorough with my descriptions. Thank you for doing the leg work!

I'm hoping to be able to turn the BCA website into a more regular place to check for news and things like this (Hoping to get a subscribe button added soon as well) - a la BMC/British Canoeing etc.

Thank Ari!

We're asking for a short report of 4-500 words upon their return and a picture of the group to accompany it for the website, so not a huge amount of work for a non insignificant amount of money.
