Don't forget it is the BCRA Cave Science Symposium and AGM this coming weekend (27th November) at Hulland Ward, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. For more info, see https://bcra.org.uk/sym/index.html
The field trip will be on Sunday 28th November and will focus on the geology, hydrology, karst landforms and caves of the Upper Dove valley, meeting at the British Caving Library at Glutton Bridge at 9:45 am. Parking is available and there will be an opportunity to view the library before we depart at around 10:00. The precise route will depend on the weather and the enthusiasm of the participants, but include the spectacular Chrome Hill and Dowell Dale. We expect to finish the walk by mid-afternoon. Please bring suitable warm clothing and footwear as the route is likely to be muddy and slippery underfoot. Please contact John Gunn or Andy Farrant (https://bcra.org.uk/contact.html) if you wish to join the fieldtrip and haven't already registered.
