Beginner cave in yorkshire

I have been asked by my housemate to suggest a cave for him and his girlfriend to go to on Sunday? Any suggestions? Needs to be easy to find, one they can walk in scramble around a bit and enjoy with having no prior caving knowledge. Also be great if easy to get to from Leeds. I remember doing something that would suit last year north of grassington where you drove up a steep hill parked on the road and 5 minute walk in and the entrance had a recent collape.

Cheers in advance for any suggestions.

my grasp of geography is appalling, so I don't know if this is miles from Leeds, but Ribblehead has lots of little scrambly caves where you get a little bit wet but not too much, a littlw bit of crawling, some walking, some formations and all nice and simple for beginners :)

The answer would seem to be, according to another thread here, Mossdale Caverns.

I thought that, too. You going to start leading trips there Andy?

LOL I thought I'd lower the tone of this thread yet further and looked up "shagging smilie" on Google, it said ... "Did you mean hugging smilie?"

...well no actually....

If one is participating in a `bunk up' underground - A do you `leave the lights on' and B what the hell do you do with the wellies? :-\

The perversion of this thread has been quite amazing...

Question - since cavers seem to have one particular activity on their mind so much, why is there so much concern over caver numbers decreasing?

I hope SC hasn't been put off by this forum after his first post, he could (wrongly of course ) get the impression everyone here is mad, perverted or both....

As said elsewhere Great Douk, lovely trip, if they feel like crawling there's the through trip to middle washfold which is satisfying.
