Seeing as we're now all going to the moon, 'cos moon caves are now official, we'll need a compilation tape to put into the cassette player of the space ship as it is slightly more of a trek than from Mendip to Yorkshire (bring a packed lunch).

The nowadays unjustly neglected composer is rather better know for his discovery of Uranus, doubling the then known size of the solar system. To my knowledge only four of his twenty plus symphonies have been recorded.

He gave up a successful and well rewarded musical career to pursue astronomy full time and take up an appointment as astronomer royal at a considerable pay cut

The Whole of the Moon by the Waterboys, featuring the late, great, Karl Wallinger on keyboards.

We named the large cave high up on the Benarat cliff, opposite Camp 5 in Mulu 'The hole of the Moon' after this track.

Moon Cave is about 400m below it. There are lots of passages named after Waterways tracks inside Benarat.
