....Well tough luck, most of the country is in lockdown

However, there are many virtual adventures coming our way via the Kendal Mountain Festival which starts tomorrow. All details in the programme. https://player.kendalmountainfestival.com/catalog
On Wednesday 25th is the underground session with film, speakers and chatter. It's ?10.75 for the session which can also be watched on catch up for five weeks afterwards. All details.. https://player.kendalmountainfestival.com/programs/petzl-underground-session The Ironstone film is great BTW.
The festival has heaps of interest and adventure to offer, all by the miracle of the internet this year. If you buy the full festival pass for ?96 you get it all, 200+ films and more apparently https://www.kendalmountainfestival.com/ticket-prices/
For the last five years I've volunteered at the event and helped to programme and promote the underground session making it one the THE events of the festival. Due to covid everything is online this year and I think the organisers have done a brilliant job bringing it all together. Regulars will know that Steph Dwyer of Yorkshire Dales Guides has also played an important role in the event. She takes the lead on the night, presenting from the studio, and interviewing some great cavers. Good luck for next week, Steph.
I'm going to be glued - give it a go yourself...
