Assets of £8.35m. I guess some of that would be land and buildings, I'm not sure what they are worth, What other assets could there be?
there’s not much left of value underground, and what there is i imagine would be a pain to get out

That figure probably does include the paper value of the reserves on the Longstone and Eyam Edge veins . I say paper value because if it's anything like the claimed fluorspar content of the Tearsall opencast mineralisation as compared to what I saw in the working face when I hopped over the fence one Sunday, it'll have been wildly overstated...

We are talking accounting assets though - "These are resources that a company owns, such as cash, equipment, or accounts receivable. Assets can be tangible or intangible, and they can add value to a company, help meet commitments, and increase equity."

It's one of the ways a Company's value can be manipulated. It can benefit a company to overstate its assets if it's looking for loans or investment, or reduce it's value to reduce tax liability. There might be mineral assets below ground but that depends on whether they can be extracted. Any value there will depend on there being an operational mine to realise it.

Obviously, a potential buyer would treat any figures with caution and make their own assessment.

I’ve been in the mine itself a beautiful place tbh not been able to return due to all the activity there now p.s the entrance is Lego bricked up but I found a different way in via a tight crawl

. Interesting video here of some urban explorers at Cav Mill. Guessing that the security guard they were hiding from has been appointed by the receiver to look after the assets while its being stripped?
Makes sense they have left alot
Of stuff in the mine itself but gonna be a big job to get it all out as the place is flooded between sub levels 2-3 and all the mega stuff is on sub 3 so they’ll have a big job pumping all the water out went a couple weeks ago the way in I went in is clearly hot for the time being as last time I went was chased out of there

Interesting video. I note the complete absence of all computer equipment which no doubt has been removed for investigation.I wonder what secrets it would reveal.Somewhere there must have been a Local Area Network (LAN) server with shipping records etc. I expect that all will be revealed in time.

Years ago I used to be a trader in Computer hardware when it was worth something. I bought, at auction, a mid range IBM system from a major company in Receivership only for the Police to inform me there had been a fraud on the Company Pension Plan and they needed it for evidence.
