Very interesting indeed. I would be up for buying some if we can get enough people together to  get past, minium order charge and minimise shipping costs etc.

I'll buy a set for when I get the combo compass/clinometer...

At the price it's a question worth testing in the field, but my only concern would be- could they get clarted up enough to become 'shielded' by mud and therefore not 'chargeable'?

At that level of "clart" you'd probably need to clean the top of the whole capsule to get light in for a reading anyway?

Maybe wrap some cling-film round the device to protect them? The sights would still be usable then presumably...
