BUSTER WRIGHT

This is going to come as very sad news to a host of British cavers but I'm deeply sorry to say that Ian "Buster" Wright passed away on the evening of the 5th of June. For decades Buster was one of the largest personalities in the Derbyshire caving scene and at one time was a mountaineer of some repute.
He was diagnosed with lung cancer last year and fought it out until this last week when the condition had spread and his demise was rapid. His wife Kym, Mandi and myself were with him when he died peacefully at a hospice in Retford on Monday night.
As yet (Tuesday 6th) there are no details of the funeral available but if anyone out there who I've been unable to contact by telephone wishes to attend please feel free to give me a ring on 0771 0689 704.
If anyone wishes to offer condolences, post them as replies to this post and I'll see that Kym gets them.
