Cave/Mine at Stoney

Anyone know or had a look at the obvious entrance with fence in front of it at the hotel development?

Nope, but been meaning to take a look! Almost did on Saturday, but ran out of time. Looks a decent size.

Na Bossen Hole is on the other (North) side of the road, up on the limestone ledge.

Looks interesting, needs surveying at least in case it gets lost.

Could well be Froghole Mine- Jim Rieuwerts recorded getting into that mine in the 1950s but couldn't fully explore due to lack of kit.

I just read that except in his book However that is described as being located opposite the grip footpath which is about 250m back towards stoney

Hmm, One that Markc of this parish missed when he compiled the SMD survey. Mind you, I helped him with the survey and never realised there was anything on the south side in that area.

I think the entrance may well have been blocked at that point - looks like the groundworks for the new hotel have opened it up.
