Cave Surveying Group meeting at the Wessex, weekend of November 30th/December 1st

There will be Cave Surveying Group meeting at SWCC the weekend of November 30th/December 1st.

We can do whatever people think is interesting, but suggestions so far have been:
1) a GIS session
2) An extended elevation session (therion)
3) Testing SAP6 and and any other devices people have
4) Discussion on training/youth development?

Plus the usual 'bring along any queries/gadgets/updates you have'.

We have 10 places booked. Sort out your own food (we could go to pub on Sat evg?).

We have 7 people on the list already, but I suspect more are planning to turn up.
Please tell me if you are planing to come so we have enough beds booked.

Due to clashing with a big rescue practice taking over all of SWCC that weekend, we have decamped to the Wessex (Mendip) instead. So don't go to SWCC unless you want to do rescue instead of surveying

Other details are the same, and we now have a GIS nerd comfirmed to show us how to make cool cave-related things with QGIS. (Thank, you Nat).

We have bed-spaces for up to 12, although the Wessex library gets cramped above about 8 people so we may have to work in 2 groups some of the time.
