Caving Cake!

She was pretty thrilled to make one she doesn't get to make them often apparently. I loved coming up with lots of little quirks to add to the caving touch - including chocolate fossil wedding favours. It was a lot of fun!

The CHECC cake competition had 6 entries yesterday, all on a strong caving theme but with a variety of...skill in the decoration.

The winners were Nottingham UCC with the chocolatey GG on the far right, with Kent (orange helmet) and Leeds (chocolate fossil passage) coming joint runners up.

I've just entered another decade on this planet and my wife surprised me with this fabulous birthday cake. It was inspired by one of Chunky's photos. I've no idea which one and she can't remember.

A few years ago I made a surprise cake for MCR 75th anniversary as a thanks for rescuing me earlier in the year. It was 20" by 24" and all they knew was I was baking them a cake - they were a little surprised when I turned up with more than enough to feed everyone!
