I was the Hut Warden in 1980/81.

Probably one of the best views of Mam Tor from the back window.

The almost identical hut they had at the back of the Hill Inn had an equally excellent view.

Honorary mention for the old school SUSS Hut up at Rowter Farm.

The old thunder box just to the right was a real treat, I remember one of my mates was busting for a dump, he backed into the thunder box, trousers down, sat down heavily and his arse burst through the crust which had formed on top (the drum was brimming) he ended up in a right mess and had to wear his caving clothes for the rest of the weekend.

Got some great memories there though
