Caving insurance for older cavers

Both the BCA and Snowcard caving insurance schemes have maximum age limits that are too low for me. Can anyone advise me where this old fart can get caving insurance?

I'd speak to BCA insurers first - does depend if you're doing exploratory or tourist type stuff...

I think this is one for @JoshW to answer.
Damnit thought I could keep my head down! To be perfectly honest I’ve not had huge dealings with this policy.

I *believe* that the BCA travel/expedition insurance providers PJ Hayman are willing to consider providing insurance to those over their nominal maximum age on application.

Try emailing/calling them and see what they say. If you’re struggling, feel free to reach out to me at insurance@british-caving.org.uk

Hi Joe, I've just taken out caving insurance in France with Sports Cover Direct, at the ripe old age of 77 (my you, it cost me . . . ).

I had this conversation about a month or so back regarding cover for caving abroad once past 75 (it's rapidly approaching me). Two suggestions were to join a Spanish Caving Club and access insurance cover through them as their scheme is not age restricted. Similarly, Republic of Ireland Cavers access French insurance cover for caving "abroad" and presumably a requirement to be a member of an Irish Club. I don't have any further details about either suggestions though.
