Caving Supplies oversuits?

Does anyone use one of these and have any good or bad comments?  What is the material like and how does it compare to cordura and PVC?  Is it a sort of half-way house between them?  :-\

Thanks!  :)

The speleosuit and mudlark oversuits are cordura, fairly standard really, warmbac are better.

Better in what way?  Not price!  I tried a Warmbac but wasn't fussed on the cuffs or velcro front, and it seemed to soak up a lot of water.

Overall build quality was better, good cuffs, reinforced arse seam, zips not so prone to jamming, that sort of thing.

If price is a big issue then these are decent quality bog standard oversuits.

I have, sort of half way between a Warmbac & a boiler suit. Much more comfy as a result but of course not as hard wearing.

I rate the Caving Supplies suits. Cheaper than a Warmbac and last pretty well in my experience. More comfortable to wear than a Warmbac Cordura and less prone to shrinking.

Bought the bog standard one last year. Ok, no elasticated cuffs, but it does exactly wot its says on the packet. Its been pretty good so far with numerous crawls/thrutches/grovels.

Went down numerous holes in Stoney Middleton on 17th and down Knotlow on 18th and it was fine.

I had a (very) tight fitting warmbac previously and that seemed to get clogged with mud very easily. And the elasticated cuffs got very clarted up.

I like mine.  Its taken 1 & 1/2 years of abuse with only a few small holes (seams are all fine still though).  Only problems i've found are the zip is a pain in the arse if it gets filth in it + its quite thin so its not a great insulator.  Then again, as its so light its great to travel with and rolls up nice and small  (y)

I actually think velcro is the way forward - liked it on a dragon one i used to use and like it on my Meander...

That will clinch he deal for him then. If he could get all his kit into a small pocket he would do that.

OK, so red or blue?  ;)

You want Red to match your lovely Penguin jumper in your avatar.

and I can get a blue one, then we won't look like matching twins.
