Judging by that huge boulder on the floor I'm guessing the sculptures are gone?

The sculptures are up the slope on the other side from the collapse. There's quite a hole that you usually go around one or other of the sides.

Hi, does anyone know the current state of the Mud Hall Traverse.

We are planning on going during the Spring Bank Winch meet and deciding where and what to do might be dependent on the existence of the traverse.

At the end of the attempted round trip through Mud Henslers to Mud Hall, it might not be fun to discover we have to go back out the way we came !

Thanks in advance.

No club nor the CNCC maintain fixed aids in northern caves and so it will never be 'officially' declared to be safe by any club or the CNCC.

However, I've been speaking to the cave fairies and they say that it is on their to-do list before the BPC winch is open to the public. In the mean time, it's more or less as safe to cross as it was before the collapse.

Is there anchors at the top to rig an SRT rope of your own to drop to the bottom so a round trip can be made, as fixed aids are not maintained?
