Pete, Alex,

When are you boys next down in South Wales?

Have got just the place for you to take a look at, new passage absolutely 100% without a shadow of a doubt guaranteed! Not even a choke really (well, you do go through a bit of one to get there), just a committing crawl beneath a large slab. Very good potential with highly encouraging draught.

Any takers?

Cheers,

Nig

Could send Daz to carve a route through - he'll either open it up fully (by collapsing everything in the immediate vicinity) or close it down for ever (by collapsing everything in the immediate vicinity)

Skyrmy,

Hmmm......probably not the best approach. If the slab did fall down you might just be able to get over the top. Major problem is that Daz would in all likelihood be crushed strawberry jam underneath so it would be none too pleasant!

Have PM'd further details to Pete so contact him if you want to learn more.

I traverse chokes like the proverbrial Ninja so I should be able to look at yoir choke, just not sure when I am back down there.

For anyone considering this Barbondale Classic - best clear the Bucket exit from the surface before you enter Crystal.  Four of us (well two of us due to limited space at the ladder) found ourselves blocked in and unable to remove the slabs covering the Bucket entrance  o_O o_O o_O

Some digging through fairly loose soil got a forearm's length with no sign of the surface so the decision was made to retrace our steps - a great but unexpected day only marred by the decision to wear a fleece on the basis of a one way trip through the Bucket ducks and glorious sunshine awaiting - best laid plans and all that  ;) ;) ;)
