Rather unsure about the bit referring to training Cheddar Cave Wardens. I would like to remain as a Reservoir Hole Warden but after 60 years do I need training ? " 2) Arrange and complete the training of Wardens for the Cheddar Caves "

Bump. Can anyone from CSCC explain please. Are we turning into a thought contolled state? Is there a test at the end ? Will it be in a school room and do I need a packed lunch ?

I can't answer for CSCC, as I'm no longer directly involved, but it really doesn't look like anything to worry about to me.

You could always join the meeting tonight as a guest, or just email Wayne and ask, but I'd be pretty sure that the access agreement will have a few details that wardens will need to be familiar with, eg where to park, what route to take, any restrictions on times, or washing off (for Gough's) etc.

It is also pretty common for warden-controlled caves to require new warden's to undertake a familiarisation trip to ensure they know the cave and it's particular conservation needs.

Since this is a new access agreement, it seems reasonable that all wardens are considered "new" and recieve an appropriate introduction to the new rules and a familiarisation trip.

I'm sure nobody is going to make you sit in a classroom.
