Dales to Mendip; rain gauge

We need to get a rain gauge to Rob Harper on Mendip. If anyone's heading to the Dales from Mendip (or vice versa) and you can help, please PM me. You'll be doing your bit to support the CDG VisBot. Thanks!

We've had an offer to get the gauge to Bristol. Is there anyone there who could intercept it / pass it on to Rob?

If it can be dropped off with me (5 minutes off the M5 J14, home or J17 work), I could do the last leg to Mendip.

Now got more specific information about where in Bristol the rain gauge could be collected from. Our man will have have no transport but will be staying at the Marriott City Centre Hotel and working in an office on Wine Street.

Can any Bristol based Mendip caver pick it up, then deliver to Rob Harper later?

Not had any response from anyone who might be able to rendezvous at either of those two Bristol locations. For this to work I'd really need to drop off the rain gauge during today, for it to start the first leg of its journey. So, in case this one doesn't work out, is anyone else travelling twixt Dales & Mendip over the next week or two?

Mike M - you got any ideas?!

Thanks Ali - that may well be very useful because it looks like no-one in Bristol can meet up with our man from the Dales. So we may need to keep asking in the hope that someone else can fetch it to Priddy.

I'll be going from Ingleton to the Dachstein expedition training in Cinderford next weekend... there might be someone from the Mendips going to that I can pass it on to?

I'm on an Outdoor First Aid course at the Viney Hill Centre at Oldcroft on Saturday and Sunday if that helps? It's a couple of miles south of Cinderford. I will also be in the Naggs Head at Yorkley Slade on Saturday night. If you can get to me then I'm happy to Rob's in Wells on Sunday evening.

Grateful thanks to those who did their best to be helpful above; this one is now sorted, thanks to a fellow CDG Northern Section member.
