Mountain Rescue Fundraising Challenge - Wharfedale Three Peaks - 28th June 2025

Hello cavers!

Fancy an exciting running or walking challenge in the stunning Yorkshire dales while raising money for the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue?

For those not in the know, the Fell Rescue provide surface and cave rescue on the eastern side of the Dales, and we need your support!

Now in its 12th year, the Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge Event includes three routes ranging from 17 to 4.5 miles starting from the picturesque village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. This event is hosted by the local mountain rescue team - Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association - as their annual fundraising event.
  • Parking at the event
  • Tea and coffee
  • A pie
  • A commemorative medal
There will also be a fantastic cake stall on the day, with all proceeds to the team.

For more information and to enter please visit SIEntries - https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=14748

For those who can't make it, some of the team will be doing the Wharfedale Three Peaks lugging round a stretcher, and would love your donations.

We were wondering what the Wharfedale 3 peaks 3 pots would be.

Birks Fell, Langcliffe and.... Buckden gavel mine? Buckden pike is letting the side down a bit. Perhaps we need to think further affield?

Anyway, another reminder for the runners and/or pie lovers out there. Get signed up. come along, have a cracking day out in the hills, and raise some cash for a life saving organisation!
