Damaged fixed rope in Nettle Pot

Hi all,

On our way to Derbyshire Hall yesterday, we noticed a damaged rope on (I think) the second pull through, both of which are permanently rigged.

There's an obvious wear point where the rope passes over the edge of some rock. The wear wasn't bad enough to stop the rest of the party following up the rope, but it's not far off being cored. It's also quite hard to spot as the rope is so muddy.

Just a heads-up for anyone planning on doing that route anytime soon.

Cheers,

Dave

They used to be rigged so you can pull your own rope up iirr? So why not chop it down or replace it with the rope you had for the last pitch? Leave it safe.
