Today marks the anniversary of the closure of Kellingley Colliery which, in effect, brought down the curtain on Britain's coal industry, the industry which fuelled the industrial revolution and helped make Britain the world power it once was. 18th December 2015 was a sad day - I don't think it should pass without mention.
