Can anyone help with finding some fire hose or similar 2"ish hose? Rigid or semi rigid would be best and I want about 30'. I need to divert a small stream.
Thanks for any help :)

I'm in Derbyshire, by the way.

were abouts in peak i though i knew were all my pipe is at the mo and i dout you have spoted it in passing if it is mine

if it does not need to take much presure +ve or -ve then i would recomend 50mm twin wall it can be found in sheffield for about ?50 for a 50m role and the best bit is taking it caving in one long line 12-15m is the max you can hadle on you owne but 3 people can do 50m fine

or if it neads to take big -ve presher e.g. siphone then macheanmart is ok for spiral wound suction tube but i think the max length is 30m come in all size but 2" is about ?95 i think.

i have quit a bit of each but all in use at the mo if i finish with them then it is good to have somewere for them to go as i dont have space at home. (yes i am storing my stuf in caves as it will not fit in my room)

We have a good few rolls of the red rubber fire hose (off those office reels) at bagshawe laying about doing nowt.

about 3/4" internal dia.

Bit heavy but robust and easy enough to mawl into a cave.

PM me if your interested.

I know where there's a significant pile of solid plastic piping (ex-peakshole sough) that would be available. The current custodians would be glad to see the back of it happy to donate it to a deserving cause.

PM me if interested.

Thanks everyone for the offers. I am now sorted with some stuff from Hucklow digging supplies (and some other stuff I didn't know I needed - thanks Nick!)

Henry - I know what you mean about the fun of taking big pipes caving. I was involved in the installation of the present dam in JH which diverts the stream into Speedwell. (the same idea as for my current project). I well remember the day we took that huge green pipe in. Easy and fun dragging it along the canal and streamway, then a real pig to get through the connection to JH and haul it up the first pitch. Worth it though...

I have an idea about a potential dig on Mendip that could be possible if i have some 3/4" hose.
It's one of those self digging mud mining ones...
I probably need about 70m or there abouts.

Saw some round the back of the the swimming baths a few months back in Bristol, which got me thinking, but when i went back for it, it were gone.
Builders too tidy by half these days. :)
Incidentally the baths caught fire a few months later, smells fishy to me...

Any spare hose on Mendip?
