• Tony is on holiday until Saturday 20th

This means that the Travelling Shop will be out of action for a week and any inquiries sent to him won't be picked up until he's back.

In the meantime the rest of the Starless River team will be hard at work ensuring online orders are posted out to you all. Thanks everyone.

  • Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

While I'm at it can we have the time corrected too?

Or is it just my computer that tells me that ukCaving is an hour behind the real world.

That's down to you - the forum clock stays the same otherwise our international readers would be screwed up every time the UK does it's stupid +/- an hour crap.

- Go to "profile"
- Then go to "Look and Layout Preferences"
- Look for "Time Offset:"
- Over to the right is a box and a link that says "(auto detect)"
- Click the auto detect link
- The forum should now set the offset correctly
- Click the "change profile" button at the bottom right to store your settings.

Am I missing something? If you choose a different time format in the Look and Layout Preferences section, you can choose 24 hour clock anyway, any of the formats which are HH:MM:SS (without a/pm at the end) will display things in 24 hour clock.

Unless of course that's only just been added.

No, I was :)

I never realised that you could do it locally.

I guess a global change to 24hr might be in order anyway since it's far more popular. Then anyone who prefers the old system could change back.
