G9 and CHDK

I seem to have "installed" it correctly onto the card but am having trouble using the scripts.
When I press the shutter the message says *started* "this is a default script, scripts run when shutter is pressed in Alt mode"

I am in Alt mode, when I press the shutter nothing happens.

Anyone any advice, based on experience on using CHDK.
