Giants, too wet?

Would a trip into Giants with the rain forecast not be possible tomorrow? I don't want to go down there and find it's too wet to descend Garlands, does anyone know how long it takes for the water to drop again to save a wasted trip?

Very similar thread here also asking about this weekend: https://ukcaving.com/board/index.ph...water-levels-and-possible-alternatives.31226/
Water can drop as fast as it rises up there, but I guess it depends how bad it rains overnight as to whether it is okay or not tomorrow morning.
Also worth noting if you do go to Garlands, the RH Y hang anchor is wobbly, so better to use the high bolt in the roof. I might even be there drilling in a new this weekend.

Giants is a reasonable proposition under most conditions dependant on the experience of the party. It's rare that Giants (or P8) gets so wet as to be impassable or uncomfortable given modern kit and favourable hangs down the pitches. Unless the forecast was doom, better to go and gain first hand experience rather than relying on someone's opinion based on a forecast that might well be wrong.
Just my opinion but having been down Giants in drought and very high flood I'd say go for it but have the sense to turn back if you feel over committed. Experiencing caves in wetter than normal conditions can make for a fun trip. I'm not advocating going down on a bad forecast with rising water levels though....
Having looked at the forecast for Castleton overnight and tomorrow morning I'd say it's an ideal opportunity to experience Giants wetter than normal with levels expected to drop as the day goes on after overnight rain.

Really well worth going to Garlands in very wet conditions, just for the experience. Though I have had to (rescue) a pal with srt ability, but not enough experience to breathe under water.😨 Take care!!. OG
