It leads to another bit of the cave and then leads back to the drainpipe again. It does actually also contain a few pretty bits of stal (some of which have, sadly, been vandalised) so it's a well kept "secret" specifically so LOTS of people don't go there - although it's not that difficult to find if you're keen. However, if you're big-boned (i.e. fat) then it's a bit of a nightmare - but I've done it and I'm an expert pie-eater (although I have lost some weight recently).  (y)

Its along time since I ventured past the end of the drainpipe, from memory it gets a bit tight as cap 'n chris says and I seem to remember some dexion or meccano holding the roof up??? But worth doing once!! Also don't make the other mistake and try and fit down the small rift on the left as you exit the drainpipe especially if your a fat knacker gravity takes over and it may take you a while to get out...worst thing is its bloody obvious it doesn't go anywhere, of course I would never try it myself.....

:)
If u climb up through several sections of rotting 1940's style dexion,
up through three or four tiny chambers, there is another flat out squeeze, that i can't fit through.
I have been told by some very thin local diggers that aftyer fifty metres or so it opend out into a chamber, nearly as large as The Time Machine
but as I have not been that far, as too big, unable to verrify
but y don't u go & have a look & report back here?

It's not that narrow! - It's actually up a tube-like very steep slope (climb) and opens into a standing height (and then some) chamber which closes down ending in a low dig on the left.

Have you guys got Mendip UG yet,

yes Andy we have got mendip UG, but Kim likes to find things out for herself, a good trait i think.

So, instead of looking at a known reliable and available source of information on these matters, she asks a bunch of unreliable wind-up merchants on the 'net.

Hmm, does she play poker? ;)

one thing about ditsy 24//7 is just like spongebob she is not afraid to have a go at anything, one look at a rift and she has gone down it,one look at a tight bit and she pushes on through, might make a good digger one day, when got more experience lol

It was NOT whitelackington who offered, tentatively or otherwise to re-write mendip Underground, eye can barely write & certainly can't spell, I am, as eye have stated before unedumacated.
I think the "tentative offer may have inadvertantly been hinted at by chris"
but don't quote me, eye don't want to "Drop him in it from a great height, say, as from the viewing platform @ Templeton, a "DIG" he is apparently unaware of :halo:

Does the rift actually go no where? Doesn't it say in MUG that the stream is met there?
