Roger W Well-known member Dec 8, 2011 #2 "This mineral is almost certainly gypsum that was deposited by liquid water billions of years ago, researchers said." I gather it's all dried up now, though. This looks like the remains of some conservation tape... They'll probably find a gate before long.
