Might be the legendary Pembertons (and associates) - theyve had a go at digging just about everything in Stoney.

Last person that I heard enthusing about the one that faces you when you enter the quarry was dan from the EPC and that must have been 18 months back

Yeah - Which bit of horseshoe? - there are several digs around there.

I know JBeck had one up on top of one of the benches.

Strawberry Hole is in boulders on the left of the access track. Strong draught probably from Watergrove Sough. Dug in the 1980s by Tom Proctor and Geoff Birtles.

Carry on up the ramp and on the right at the top is a pit which is a collapsed dig. This draughts from Streaks West Choke.

The Hole in the Wall is the obvious entrance in the main face and was dug for its entire length in the early 1980s. Below and to the left of it is a tiny tube that ends after about 12m at a choke.

The hole in the middle of the west face goes nowhere but may be the source of the draught in a dig on the top bench above, now covered with planks. I believe this is outside the area controlled by the BMC, so is probably best left for now.

Is it one of these you have looked at?

Last time i went int here is ended as a sump, rather than a choke. Had a small length of hose leading into it so presumed somebody tried to pump it empty. Is the choke through there???
