You'll find this in the Crewe Rigging Guide.
Deep Space is bolted with thunderbolts and hangers.
You'll need a couple of rope protectors and two deviation slings/krabs - the first deviation is probably already there, but the lower one (to clear a sharp rub on the nearside) is a tiny thread you'll have to look for.

And when you get to the bottom of the rope run away before shouting 'rope free' - Deep Space is loose!

Similiarly, on your way out - it's best to keep well out of the way until the person ascending has detached from the rope completely - i.e. don't jump onto the rope when he/she passes the rebelay just below the lip of pitch head. Assuming it's still rigged like this; it's been a while since I last visited.

On one occassion, "rope free" was shouted so I wondered over to the rope, clipped in, and started ascending. I was blissfully unaware of what was happening above. A fellow caver, had passed the rebelay and was climbing out over the pitch head when his back caught the roof causing a decent sized slab of rock to detach itself. This rock then sat precariously balanced on his back! Fortunately, someone else was also at the pitch head, and between the two of them they managed to maneouvre the rock out of harms way. Had it dropped down the shaft, I'm pretty sure it would have brought down more loose rocks too, and I would have been in the firing line!

Cheers Mark.
Its a credit to you and others the amount of effort that had gone into that cave. We really enjoyed the trip and I will be persuading a friend to go back as there are still things I didn't get to see.
Good to meet you and the missus and hopefully we will see you at an Eldon meeting.

But im not coming digging with you  ;)

Before you ask.
