Lamp / Lid hire - Box

Evening All,
I am leading a small group into Box Mine in February next year, and I need to hire about 4 lid / light sets.

Where's the nearest place to Box that I can get some?

Les probably means CaveClimb in Cheddar.
They have kitted out a number of people I've taken underground; highly recommended.

Or Ebay.  A lamp and light can go for as little as a fiver.  Cheaper than hiring?

The consensus seems to be Cave Climb. It's a bit far away to be honest - I reckon it will take me about 1 hour each way from Box to Cheddar, and I'm coming in from the opposite direction.

I'll have to ponder my options.

Do you need proper caving kit?

Lights and hard hats are cheap at wicks. 

Might be worth asking locals or any mates if you can borrow something.

Pretty sure there is nothing useful nearer than Mendip Chris, but if you are travelling down from Oop Norf (ish) then is there somewhere "on the way" perhaps, although You may have to detour even then.
As Darren says though, what about some builders hats and cheap lights? Probably do that for almost the same price as hiring, although the quality (and quantity) of light might not be too good.

Perhaps asking on Darkplaces might be worthwhile too, you never know.
