There is an evening talk being hosted at the Hunters' Lodge, details below, which should prove of great interest.
There may be a small donation required for entry.

If the 'donation' is 'required' for entry, then it isn't a 'donation' it's a 'fee'.

I'm going to try to be there anyway!

If Anne and I can identify you, from that rather fetching green and blue pullover your avatar depicts you as wearing, we'll buy you a pint!

There's a strong chance it'll be PACKED; time will tell: I think I've got somewhere in the region of 14+ turning up earlier for a conservation/access session I'm doing for some Uni clubs and I guess they'll be going, and counting me and thee that'll make ballpark 25+, i.e. a goodly number for starters....

I understand the extensions can only be visited by thin people. So perhaps there should be a squeeze machine at the entrance to add an air of reality to the lecture. All fat people have to watch through the window.

I think that you may not be far from the mark although somewhat the wrong way round. People for whom a visit to UFS is a recognised non-starter are those most likely to comprise the audience as it'll be the closest they are likely to get to see what's down there, certainly for a while and possibly for ever! No, preference should be given to larger members of the audience with the thin people being forced to the back, if allowed in at all!

I think it would be a cruelty to allow fat people to see what it is like in UFS, because they will only get extremely frustrated that they will never get to see the real thing. No, it's best they are put quietly to bed early on Saturday, and the thin people can then go home afterwards and tell them that it wasn't much to see, so don't fret too much.

I disagree; it will spur them to diet as it will represent a powerful incentive to become a born again beanpole.

Have you been an argumentative sod all your life, or just today?  ;)

I don't recall him being like it at school!!

Cap'n, were you one of the attendees of my brothers apocalyptic party in the cider shed - many many moons ago?

Yes. I remember the event being scheduled and arriving but other than that have no recollection of it whatsoever. Must have been great. What did I do?
