Any idea of what time? Or will it depend on how much more the diggers find on 2morrows trip!! (y)

Glad you all enjoyed it.  Well done Tim. (y)

Yes; well done, and thanks, to Tim!

Apparently the audience comprised somewhere in the region of 130 people (standing room only, mostly); despite going well equipped with the Hidden Earth PA system I was unable to fathom its complexity so Tim had to make do with using a loud voice; this wasn't really necessary as the audience were so quiet the proverbial pin could be heard dropping - doubtless there have been few rooms containing so many cavers which have been so quiet! The gasps of amazement at some of the pictures were an apt accompaniment to a superb & historic presentation.

Superb evening. Great talk, amazing pictures and fantastic company. Thoroughly enjoyed it and getting plastered whilst talking about it afterward. Has anyone seen pure white formations in such a quantity in a mendip cave? Truly astounding!
Many thanks to Tim and Cap,n for that.

A superb presentation, really enjoyed it, congratulations to all involved.
Nice to meet CnC at last.
I am still getting to know Mendip well; I also picked up a good deal of info relating to the hydrology and other systems in that area. Fascinating stuff, inspired to have a good walk around that area at some point soon as very intrigued by Mendip layout.

I'm going to try to be there anyway!
Was it you Peter who spilled my beer in the bar afterward?
No sir. There must have been an imposter in the house. I was in the long room out the back past the ladies room. Does that make sense?
The Back Bar  ;)

Tim's presentation was excellent. Let's not get too carried away with expecting access to this cave very soon. There is clearly a great deal more for the team to do, and it isn't often we get a chance like this on Mendip to treasure a new discovery and keep it in pristine condition. Shame on all of us if it gets spoilt in any way by an over-eagerness to just go and take a look.

But we are happy to take guests down for trips (if offers of help surveying/taping are forthcoming!)  Not all of the cave is delicate and there is plenty of regular cave to see.
