Well I found my self after 3 hours down there, just before CRO got to where I was! however have lost the following, if anyone feels like going on a mission for a couple of pints...

Wellies, - Between the wooden stempls
Knee pads - "  "  " "
Gloves - Around there somewhere.
Tackle sack containing... (SRT Harness attatched to outside)
Full SRT kit,
Waterproof digital camera.
A few odds and ends such as spare batteries.

The bag and contents is what I am most intersted in and is currently in the stream between the last wooden stemple and the metal one in a real tight bit.

the best bit is he did it on the way in and then on way out got stuck and slid to the stream, then reversed down stream climbed up and did it normally! apparently he is the only person ever to have gone along at stream level!

Oh if anyone goes in before my stuff all rots/rusts away feel free to help your self to a pair of wellies and knee pads if you can fish them out, provided you fish out my bag too...

I am trying making a return journey this weekend but no one seems to be available from my club or anyone I ask, I really need my stuff back before it rots away if anyone available to help me with a retreval mission, or is anyone going down there this weekend and I can tag along with until as far as stemple rift to get my stuff back please?

I REALLY would not want to do the trip solo being grade 5 and all do but I feel like I have no other option, if no one can help.

Well I did it solo and am happy to report all my SRT gear, tackle sack and camera are now safe and sound.

Still there, I had already bought new ones for otter hole trip I did last weekend anyway, they were far too difficult to fetch out as they had nothing I could hook onto them with.

I'm concerned about cave conservation and pollution after spending several days clearing out the rubbish from Gunnerfleet Cave. Now I hear that there's a caver called Alex who filling up caves with his personal gear faster than we can clear it out. How caves in Yorkshire are there now which contain the personal effects of Alex Ritchie.
(Just joking Alex)

Glad you got your gear (and yourself) out of the hole OK.

Don't want to lose you for good just yet - remember you've still got an open invite to come and join us on any of our exciting digging projects here in South Wales.

No trips planned down there any time soon, probably not until next year looking at the clubs calender.

However if you tell me when your next digging weekend is occurring I may make my way down just for that.

We go digging all the time, not just at weekends.

Are you ever available midweek?

Have got some really exciting projects on the go at the moment so keep in touch.
