Peter - I see you just make the top ten posters.  But you've a long way to go to catch up with Sam T and Cap'n Chris!

Why is the Friday Joke the top topic - way ahead of the current real caving stuff?  We're too frivolous on this forum!

I can understand Bubba being top of the Most Time Online list, but what am I doing up there?
I'm supposed to be writing instructions on how to write reports in English, not drifting nostalgically around the UK underworld!

Maybe you should have some adverts, Bubba, that pop up and occupy the whole screen for about ten minutes out of every fifteen, like the Chinese cable TV I'm stuck with...      Then I might spend less time online

I bet cavers on here with less than five years experience are much more evenly gender-divided.  I think this illustrates the number of older cavers who have joined the forum, who represent an era when caving was very much male dominated.

I think the fact not everyone has registered a gender might have skewed the statistics a bit. I've just updated my profile to reflect that I'm female  (despite the name) and the ratio has gone down to 8:1!

Which suggests that only 18 people have registered a gender. I don't recall this as an option on the old forum, so it will be those who have updated their profile since the new forum went live?

Being from an 'older generation', I didn't have to work this out with a calculator. Or even a piece of paper.

I hope I got it correct. Hmm, now where's my calculator?
